ADMINISTRATION AND APPLICATION
Chemspunge® Wound Dressing
Regarded as the most effective wound dressing to control septicaemia and inflammation. No advance cleaning of wounds before Chemspunge® Wound Dressing is applied.
The adsorption capacity of the product stimulates blood flow to the wound exudate, which is very important to enhance granulation. We believe not to disturb new granulating tissue, therefore cleaning of wounds is not recommended because: -
1. Swabbing disturbs granulating cells (damage new cells).
2. Patients might be allergic to cleaning agents.
3. Uncomfortable for patient and painful.
4. It was found Chemspunge® Wound Dressing disintegrate, necrotic tissue through osmotic pressure and moves debris to the wound service.
5. Chemspunge® Wound Dressing removes that, what is not needed by the body.
6. Dressing changes when saturated. It depends on the status of the wound:
· Superficial wounds; Surgical incisions, dressing changes every 24 hours till the Physician or clinician is satisfied.
· Necrotic wet wounds / Saturating wounds; It might be appropriate to change the dressing more frequently as exudates will escape and seeps through. Once the condition of a wound has stabilized the dressing will be changed less frequently 24 - 45 hourly or every 3rd day.
· Bedsores; Cavity wounds are treated by plugging the cavity with a Chemspunge® Wound Dressing plug. CPH-3. Fill the cavity with plugs to enhance debridement. Cover the area with a Chemspunge® Wound Dressing and change the plugs by lifting one side, or the corner of dressing to remove saturated plugs and insert clean plugs.

Exercise by walking will elevate pain, and stimulate blood circulation. DonorAid Wound Dressing CAN BE APPLIED ALTERNATIVELY to ease the pain sensation, especially at night.
